	Andrea Bruno is a researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory working on\
	nlarge-scale simulation. Her background is in economics with an interest i
	n\nagent-based modeling and spatial analysis. She has mentored students at
	 the\nInstitute for Computing in Research throughout their economics proje
	cts\, one\nexamining the youth unemployment rate following recessions and 
	the other\nstudying how severe weather events impact the cost of construct
	ion labor.\n\nMark Galassi is an astrophysicist and computer scientist at 
	Los Alamos National\nLaboratory. He has worked in general relativity\, and
	 then on the HETE\, HETE-2\nand Swift satellites\, as well as in Los Alamo
	s’s nuclear non-proliferation\neffort and many other areas of space physic
	s. Passionate about free/open-source\nsoftware since 1984\, he has contrib
	uted to the GNU project since then - most\nnotably he designed and led the
	 implementation of the GNU Scientific Library\,\nand has consistently pres
	sed for the use of free/open-source software in\nscientific research. He h
	as served on the board of the Software Freedom\nConservancy since its ince
	ption\, chairing it for much of its life. Mark also\nco-founded the Instit
	ute for Computing in Research\, a pipeline that trains youth\nto do resear
	ch and hires high school students to work full time on research\ninternshi
	ps - all of his spare time goes in to the Institute.\n\nRaised in Italy st
	udying classics\, Mark then got his undergraduate degree in\nPhysics from 
	Reed College (1987)\, and his PhD in mathematical and computational\nphysi
	cs from Stony Brook University (1992). He has been in Los Alamos ever\nsin
	ce\, except for a two-year sabbatical working for Cygnus (the first\nfree/
